THE ONE THING TO KNOW BEFORE YOU START

kubeist is a solid formula. That means it works differently to anything liquid or solid you have used before — and much better, once you know how.

The most important thing: keep your box somewhere dry. A bathroom shelf away from the shower, a bedside table, your gym bag, your washbag. Anywhere but directly in the shower or on the side of the bath where steam and splashes will reach it. The cubes last beautifully when stored dry. Take one into the shower with you when you’re ready to use it — don’t leave the box in there.

STEP BY STEP

01 — Take one cube from the box

Open your kubeist box and take out a single cube. Close the box after taking your cube and keep it away from steam and moisture between uses.

Most people find one cube is exactly right for a complete wash. If you have longer or thicker hair, or simply prefer a richer lather, two cubes work beautifully together.

02 — Wet your hair and body thoroughly

Step into the shower and wet your hair and body completely before introducing the cube. The more saturated your hair is the better the lather will form. This step matters — a dry cube on dry hair will not perform the same way. Get properly wet first.

03 — Place the cube between your palms

Hold the cube flat between both palms. Press your hands firmly together and rub them in a circular motion. Within a few seconds the cube will begin to soften and break down into a smooth, rich paste between your hands.

Keep rubbing until you have an even paste across both palms — this usually takes around 5 seconds. 

04 — Smooth the paste through your hair

Work the paste from your palms through your wet hair from roots to ends, exactly as you would with a conventional shampoo. As you massage it through your hair it will develop into a luxurious lather.

Take your time with this step. The lather builds as you work it in — if it feels like it needs more, wet your hands slightly and keep massaging. The formula combines shampoo, conditioner and body wash in one so every part of this step is doing three jobs simultaneously.

05 — Body wash

Any remaining paste on your palms and excess lather from your hair can be smoothed directly over your body. The same formula that works for your hair works beautifully as a body wash — the clean conscience of one product doing everything.

06 — Rinse thoroughly

Rinse your hair and body completely with warm water. Your hair will feel clean, conditioned and light. No residue, no buildup, nothing left behind.

A FEW THINGS WORTH KNOWING

On quantity — one cube is designed as a single complete shower for most hair types. If you have very long hair, very thick hair or simply prefer a more generous lather, use two cubes. There is no right or wrong — find what works for you.

On storage — the single most important thing you can do to get the best from your kubeist is keep the box dry. Steam is the enemy of a solid formula. Take your cube with you into the shower. Leave the box outside it.

On switching — if you are transitioning from conventional liquid shampoo your hair won't need to go through an adjustment period as with shampoo bars.

WHAT IS IN IT — AND WHAT IS NOT

kubeist is sulphate free and silicone free. Here is what that means for your hair.

Sulphate free

Sulphates — most commonly sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulphate (SLES) — are the aggressive detergents found in most conventional shampoos. They create a dramatic lather but strip your hair and scalp of their natural oils in the process, leaving hair dry, brittle and colour-faded, and triggering your scalp to overproduce oil in response.

kubeist contains no sulphates. The formula cleanses gently and effectively without stripping. Your hair keeps its natural moisture, its colour lasts longer, and your scalp finds its natural balance.

Silicone free

Silicones — dimethicone, cyclomethicone and their relatives — are the ingredients that make hair feel artificially smooth straight after washing. The problem is they coat the hair shaft without nourishing it, build up over time, and prevent moisture from penetrating the hair. Hair that relies on silicones becomes increasingly dependent on them.

kubeist contains no silicones. The smoothness and condition you feel after using kubeist comes from the formula genuinely conditioning your hair — not from a coating that washes away to reveal the same damage underneath.

Why it matters

Sulphate free and silicone free is not a marketing claim. It is a decision about what your hair actually needs. Cleaner ingredients, better results, a formula your hair can rely on for the long term.
